New Year In Paris

Nicholas Atkin - Monday, January 03, 2011

Paris is an amazing place!  We have been several times and stayed to see the New Year in, back in 2008, capturing some great images.

This year we returned and were not disappointed.  New Year in Paris consists of a constant flow of Moet champagne and the cheers of Bonne Année on the banks of the Seine.

Our days were spent scouting and our evenings and mornings photographing.  I love to capture cities like Paris after dark.  Night photography is usually carried out during the twilight hours, but I find that the the street lights of Paris, illuminate the buildings and architecture well into the evening and early hours of the morning.

Waiting until the early hours of the morning produces images that are saturated with atmosphere.

On several occasions,  I have tried to capture the glory of Notre Dame and do it justice. I hope you like it as much as I do.

We have added some of the photos form this trip to the New Releases category of the photography section.
